A leading middle-market private equity firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team in Los Angeles. The firm focuses on investing in software and technology-enabled businesses, partnering closely with management teams to drive operational improvements and accelerate growth. This is an opportunity to join a highly active investment platform and gain meaningful exposure across the full deal lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio value creation initiatives. Responsibilities Evaluate and execute investment opportunities across software and technology-enabled sectors. Build and maintain complex financial models, including LBO, operating, and valuation models. Conduct market research, industry analysis, and commercial due diligence. Participate in management meetings, investment committee presentations, and transaction processes. Support portfolio company initiatives and work directly with management teams to drive value creation. Develop relationships with investment bankers, executives, intermediaries, and industry stakeholders. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or Transaction Advisory. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skillset. Experience supporting M&A and leveraged buyout transactions. Demonstrated interest in software, technology, and technology-enabled services. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Strong academic credentials and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
